Programmes - The Residential Care Programme

This programme accommodates 60 boys and girls, between the ages of 2 and 18 years. The children and young people live in 3 houses on our property.

The programme focuses on reunifying children with their families, in the shortest time possible. The family is seen as a partner in this process. Community support is encouraged and in some cases foster care is explored as an option.

Whilst in the programme young people are exposed to a number of developmentally appropriate activities, which are designed to meet their individual needs. Children of school going age attend a range of schools within the Durban area.

The programme is aimed at developing individual capacity, thereby ensuring that young people are better equipped to cope with the challenges presented to them by family and community.
